Delamore Art - Every Day in May - 1030 - 1630

For the last 15 years I have carved stone in my workshop at home. In November I moved to Sea Change Studio 2 at Cockington Court, Torquay and I now find myself surrounded by beautiful parkland, in a wonderful community of creative artists. My new studio is brightly lit and warm and I offer stone carving classes to those who would like to try out this ancient art form. Being closer to the sea, I find myself focusing more of my time on sea life sculptures using serpentine and alabaster. Giving these forms the gentle movement you might observe in their own habitat. The main body of my work is in Portland Stone, Shell forms naturally lend themselves to the material. Whilst my abstract forms and figurative pieces are peaceful and contemplative. Much of my work is made to commission, enjoying the collaboration and new direction this can take my carving.
