The Artist - James Connolly

James is a sculptor from the Cotswolds who works in limestone, metal and bronze resin to create his unique and stylized statues inspired by the human form. These are very different mediums; his stone pieces are carved directly into the hard block with chisels and mallet in hand, while the bronze resin ideas begin by being built up in clay or plaster around an armature, before being cast into a mould of the original. Yet the overriding effect remains distinctively his own. His works can be seen in many public and private collections across the country, as well as internationally. His most recent commissions include bronze resin heads and tall stone figures
