After many years teaching, I have decided to commit to art full time. I start my practise with drawing, this means that all my work has a strong grounding in direct observation, however I strive to find the energy, atmosphere and fell of a place rather than the detail. my work investigates colour and composition and mainly that is through the landscape of Devon, however I do travel with specific destinations in mind to work from, thus the Venice collection
