My education degree led me to a very inspiring post developing community arts projects at Battersea Arts Centre in London. I set up a variety of arts projects in settings as varied as womens’ refuges, community spaces, schools and the Arts Centre itself. Textiles a love of colour and texture and time spent in India, living and working with the village women in Gujarat had a strong influence on my current mixed media work as have the textile traditions of Japan and India. I teach in a wide range of settings and exhibit regularly with Drawn to the Valley a network of artists and Makers living and working in the beautiful Tamar Valley. I am a member of Creative Southwest and exhibited at the Bovey Tracey Contemporary Craft Fair with them this year. I also exhibited at Delamore Arts last year.
