Education. Washington Grammar School. Durham University. Learned figure drawing at the Shipley Art Gallery, Gateshead. Became a doctor and consultant neurologist at the Royal London Hospital. On retirement, studied watercolour painting at Hampstead School of Art. Artistic association with the South West began in 1998 when my wife and I moved to Exeter. Attended Ray Balkwill’s painting courses and Margaret Dean’s life classes. Associate member of South West Academy from 2017, Full member 2021.
